More for Mother's Day!

Since Mother's Day is just around the corner, I've been working hard to come up with some new ideas for cupcake toppers so you can show your mom just how special she is. This was made in response to a suggestion on my Facebook page for somebody's grandma, who enjoys knitting.

My daughter suggested this next one as a topper for me :)

This past week, I also tried my hand at handbags and stilettos. A first time for both but I was quite pleased with the results. These can be used as I've arranged them on a base as a cupcake topper or you could use the handbags and stilettos separately to decorate a larger cake.

  

  

And of course, you can never go wrong with flowers. Fondant flowers in a variety of colors and sizes. Again, these can be used on larger cakes as well.

We recently added to our menage of pets when we got a tenrecs hedgehog (pet number 7). She's absolutely adorable and I couldn't resist marking the occasion by making a hedgehog cupcake topper. Of course this lead to the kids bestowing me with their ultimate compliment of "Most Awesome Mom Ever!"

At the moment I'm working on some Mother's Day cupcake toppers and would love some feedback or your thoughts as to what you'd like to see as a cupcake topper for this special occasion.
